Good news Derek. I saw that the intended recipient had logged onto the site today. Hopefully we can get the scarf flying again in quick order.

I think there's a lesson here.... if you're not going to be available to host the scarf, get some pictures taken, and get it moving on in less than 4-5 days then DON'T SIGN UP FOR IT.
It seems like this has been an honest and genuine error, but it's delayed the whole process by many weeks, and that's completely unnecessary.

The Scarf is like the Alien in Alien .. It adapts quickly to the environmental circumstances. So the plan has changed. Once the scarf has completed the list of everyone on this adventure, then it can come back to me and I can take it to another 'gig' location later in the year and take some pics before sending it off again on yet another adventure to a whole new set of names who can sign up nearer the time or anytime before. Just pm me.

It's now the 30th. The intended recipient logged on to X Marks a WEEK ago and we haven't heard anything from the guy. It's bee a flippin' MONTH.
Would someone just say, outright, who it is, so that 90 of us can flood his mailbox with a requests to either get his butt in gear, take some damn pictures and get on with it, or send it to someone who WILL?

Alan H, post 176 gives you the guys handle that he uses on the forum. He was on the forum about 0600hrs this morning (Australia Eastern Standard Time, I think about 20hrs ahead of Honolulu time). I would imagine that he is out at sea again at this time, and obviously has access to the net, though it maybe limited. From previous posts that he made in other threads he is on the cruise run until June this year. Don't know anymore than that.

If we seem to have hit a major problem, I will send out a replacement scarf. Lets give it to the end of the week and see if anything happens. We were doing so well too ..

I sent a message to TX Scotsman. He wrote back a while ago, so he's online today. He told me that he'd lost his dad. I'll let him come here and fill you all in.
