I like the actual re-enacting shirts much better, they're historical and they don't have that costume appearance. Same feel, but at least the shirts have historical references.

Ah yes...the debate goes on.... That is why some drive Chev's and some drive Fords...and I drive an 82 VW Rabbit DIESEL!. rattle, rattle, smell, smell, ( great smell) I think that of the few I have seen, they look good....but then, what do I know... I guess I go with the "if you like it wear it..." at least in the states... Kilted Bob..

Lol Sue. I think they are in the same class as white hose. Now that would be an interesting competition White hose V Ghillie shirt.

-----------and then there is the "tartan flashes" debate and then the "correct kilt height" debate and of course the "matchy matchy" discussion and not forgetting the "flat c----------------- Oh never mind!

Yeah, Grizz. I'm with you. I like 'em as well. I have two and wear them regularly. I prefer these shirts to wearing T-shirts with a kilt. (I'll probably be shot down in flames for saying that!)

To prove diversity and doing/likeing what you want are in, I must admit that I put them in the same drawer as Tilley Hats; never in the life of your dog! Of course, I like white hose and can't understand those who don't.

I don't have one as I believe they're costumey. Okay to wear if you're in a RenFest or re-enactment or SCA, but "funny" for everyday kilt wear. I don't know, but they remind me of the Seinfeld "Poofy Shirt" episode.

Can't think of a single place I could wear one without feeling a little foolish. Certainly wouldn't work at anything Scottish in this neck of the woods. Besides, old guys need to preserve a certain amount of dignity!
