The only reason I use facebook is to keep in contact with my cousins and the kids I went to high school with. I found out about my 40th class reunion and attended even though my ex wife was there. I am very picky about what I post or download. Anyone that needs any information about me can call me. I am bothered by old girlfriends thinking they can get back together with facebook. If the question starts with "are you the guy", I usually say NO.
Hamish....It's good to see you on the forum. I miss your comments and insight.

FB is a useful tool for me in getting information from groups in my social circle. Like most tools it has specific purposes I use it for. I keep personal info limited and my wall empty. Most of my information is on a need-to-know basis.

I hide the windbags, chatters, pontificators and political ax grinders. I tell them about it - that it is rude and inappropriate and to e-mail me when they knock it off.
I am there to check on friends and family not to "hear" BS.
