I'm not sure which is more difficult; wearing your kilt into public for the first time, or telling a group of guys you don't know that you wore your kilt into public for the first time. So, Steve, welcome and know that two steps were taken when you posted.
My first time wearing my kilt was to a Celtic event. Somewhat safe, until after driving for three hours, I had to stop for a nature call at a truck stop in the middle of Michigan. You would be surprised what kind of motivation a full bladder can be. I didn't care what was said as long as they didn't block my path to the toilet.
Tomorrow, off to Indiana for the Scottish Games and Festival... Kilted. Everyday is an event in a kilt..
Slainte,
Tobie
