    I think I've got it....

While I don't think the State of Arizona tartan was intended to be autumnal - it works that way.

Macdonald of Kingsburgh may work, but lots of orange

The Macdonald of the Isles Weathered Hunting is probably closest to what I think you're looking for that I have to show.

If you wanna slip more over to the wintery side - there's the Antarctica tartan....

The ease with which you say that makes me certain that it's not your first time!

Thanks for the confirmation on my choice of tartans gents. Of course, I had nothing to do with the design, or the making of the kilt. Hell, I even got input from Hamish on the pleating choice!
It really is quite a handsome sett, and generates lots of compliments when I'm out. I really do have quite a large piece of the cut off my Lil straight man, send me a PM if you want me to send you some.

    Regards,
    Brooke

May I chuck the Ulster Red (ancient colours) from DC Dalgliesh into the mix? Sorry I don't have a better photo (I took it for the "brown and sticky" thread).

I looked for the "brown and sticky" thread. I think you forgot to include the colon.

The stick and hose are great! The tartan is awful, though. Just awful.

All these are great. I'm afraid I might turn into one of those guys who puts himself into debt just he can own more stuff than he needs. Unless I can find a market for all my redundant organs...

DownUnder Kilt --- Yup, that's it! All three of them! I think that tartan is a knockout, and you look great...

LitTrog, having seen Brooke's kilt in person a number of times, I have to say that it's *really* nice. He always looks good. Then again, he more-often-than-not has the lovely Connie by his side and ANY guy would look good with Connie hanging around him!

    Good choice.

That's why you have two livers and your kidneys regenerate... have I got that right? I hope so otherwise I'm down a couple of organs.
