New wingtips at JC Penny
So the JC Penny "brand" Stafford is coming out with a new wing tip tomorrow (June 1). The come in black or brown and are priced at $50.00
I was in today and asked if they had any other wingtips, and the clerk told me about the staffords. He then went in the back and brought the samples out for me to see. Might have to pick up a brown pair, the price is right.
You can find them in the JC Penny website.

It's not just price, but quality that matters too.

Sweet! Thanks for the tip. I got married in a pair of Staffords and wore them to death. Still have them in glorious spitshine, but they don't fit anymore somehow. Apparently feet swell with age!

J.C. Penny making them in various widths these days? So many shoemakers have gone to one width fits all....gonna be in Flagstaff tomorrow - maybe check them out too.

According to their website, just medium width. I purchased a pair of the nunn bush wingtips (black), but I'll likely try the staffords tomorrow. And see which one is more comfortable.
PS the funny thing is that I have another forum (badger & blade) open on my iPad ... And I accidentally posted the wingtip info there... A few comments on how I was shaving with a shoe! ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

One width fits all seems to have been popularized after so many mail order shoe manufacturers loaded the market up with bulk purchase opportunities, cut-rates, wide ranging qualities and huge numbers of self service shoe stores. The best way of course, to get perfect fit is to go custom.

Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Sadly, I'm spoiled. I well recall when you went to a shoe store or a shoe department and the salesperson measured the length and width of your foot, then went in back and brought out a shoe that fit both.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

So, I did purchase a pair of the Nunn Bush black wingtips, but haven't made it back to check on the brown. I think I might buy them (they have them at our local store). That was weird about the posting. I also see that they changed the status to available in June.
Anyway, here is a shot of the Nunn Bush ones (very comfortable by the way) that I also purchased for $50.00. And as a side, the jacket is a conversion I had completed last week.
