    Tilted Kilt Pubs

Anybody been to the Tilted Kilt pubs in USA? Here's me at the one at International Drive in Orlando, on our recent vacation from Windsor, UK. The staff were quite surprised to see a customer in a kilt, but certainly welcomed it. All the serving staff wear kilts - the girls very short tartan ones and the men plain black kilts.

Haven't even heard of them, actually. I'll have to look for them, though, so thanks for making me aware of it.

There isn't one within 500 miles of me, so I don't think I'll be going anytime soon. Still nice to hear of an establishment like this one...

From the photos I've seen, that seems not just "beside the point" but perhaps miles from the point. . . We are talking Hooters/Playboy Club with tartan. And I'm sure they are all very nice girls working their way through college on your tips

There seems to be a lot of 'theme' in a themed pub. Are all the walls covered like that?

    Regards

You know, you're handsome and all, but there is definitely something (or many somethings) missing from your picture which might give it wider appeal. Only guessing, but had you directed your photographer toward where your eyes are focused...

The ones I have been to are all clones of each other. The wall decorations are exactly the same in each. Food is fairly decent and they have Bass. Other than that, they're a sports bar.

Pretty much the same "canned" pub food that you can get at any number of chain restaurants but as other's have pointed out, that's not really the point. Not bad places to have a beer and a burger and take in the sites mind you, but light years away from any kind of genuine celtic atmosphere etc. I do think it would be a blast to show up kilted though!
