A lot of threads do that. Why is that?
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Because even if your post is about kittens and sunshine, there's someone here that will find fault with it.

Sunshine is bad for kitties, if they have white ears

Oh. I see. Well, personally, I don't like kittens. They're too playful.

No, the way it should go is like this;
Someone makes a post that says; "I like kittens and sunshine, they are fun"
A few others will chime in that they too believe that kittens and/or sunshine are fun.
Then one of the usual suspects will post that kittens, sunshine, and fun are somewhat overated in his book.
Some folks mildly disagree,
And then another usual suspect will post a lengthy diatribe about how in his many travels kittens, sunshine and fun are pretty suspect. In fact he agrees with some landed gentry who's name you never heard of that while some of the common people might find fun, kittens and sunshine agreeable, He has certainly never seen fit to try them, particularly outwith their naitive kitten sunshine land.
And then another of the usual suspects (sycophant division) will quote their post and add something like " + 1 my lord, Hear Hear "

Aaannnd back on subject...
Food - 1 star out of 5. It's even weaker than standard Crapplebees fare, the shepherds pie is mince over mash, nothing more. The only thing they do well is the fish and chips, which I don't eat. The menu will make any self-respecting celt wince (names like "Irish Dip" for a french dip sandwich, over-the-top Irish names for their pizzas, etc... however I do have friends that like the food, so this may just be my snobbery coming out.
Beer selection - 2 stars out of five. At least they are serving Guinness, I would have given them three but I subtracted a star because they don't have pitchers, only those "beer yard" taps that make Guinness flat. Pints alone are poured well, I've had Guinness, Sierra Nevada, and Jameson's Whiskey here. Beer prices are relatively fair compared to other "theme" restaurants ($5/pint IIRC).
Ambiance - 1 star out of five. This is a personal preference of mine, but I prefer being able to talk with your company. Loud TV's, loud modern American pop music, etc... If you go outside where the smokers hang out it's a bit quieter (and the bartenders are a bit nicer to the outsiders). If you like sports bars - this place might just be your thing.
Scenery - 4 stars out of five. Yes, this is why you come to Tilted Kilt. Unfortunately, I would say out of the 3-4 times that I've been here, at least two visits were plagued by distant, blank-stare, zombie-like service. All visits I've ever given to the place were in a kilt. My first visit earned me a free beer for my kilted-ness, but I've never been extended such a courtesy since.
All in all, it's a "fun" experience every once in awhile. A little tacky, but what isn't in our fair country? However, I've thoroughly decided this place isn't really for me.
FYI I'm specifically talking about the one in Clearwater, FL
Have fun and throw far. In that order, too. - o1d_dude

Frankly, I don't care for kittens; and, I think you're really understating the risk of skin cancer when you insist that there's nothing wrong with sunshine.
