I'm glad you understand cheeseheads ... because I sure don't!

A few years ago my wife and I were down in San Diego and went to a nice Mexican restaurant and there, sitting in the restaurant calmly eating, was a middle-aged couple both wearing those foam cheesehead things.

(I can't be too judgmental about such stuff... after all, our local team has The Rally Monkey

That'll be quite enough "education" for now...)

The weapon in question is called a kirpan and is an article of faith in Sikhism. The turban is required by the faith to cover the uncut hair (Kesh, another of the articles of faith) from public view. I'm interested in how the Kara (the metal bracelet/cuff) looked with the tartan kit though. [The five articles of faith: Kesh, Kanga (a comb), Kara, Kachera (a specific type of trunk undergarment), and Kirpan. These items must be worn/carried by a Sikh at all times. Interestingly, the Gurus have allowed for the image of a kirpan to be carried in liue of the blade itself in such cases as required by local laws, as long as the Sikh has the kirpan otherwise available (i.e. a kirpan necklace or image on a comb for carrying through an airport, while the actual kirpan is in the checked luggage].

Back on topic, for the less UV intense days, and in more causal wear, I usually prefer a ball cap (my Atlanta Thrashers inaugural season {DANG YOU WINNIPEG FOR STEALING MY TEAM!!!}, or my new N7 {Mass Effect video game series}caps). On the more intense days, I have a straw hat similar to the hat worn by Cygnus, a cowskin leather similar to the rooskin of English Blokes. For the days calling for full kit, I have a ToS handmade by my wonderful mother. It's both felted knit, so I guess it fits both descriptors!

Edit: I'm a cheesehead, but I don't have a Cheesehead hat. I need to get one and then wear the hat, jersey, and my Gordon kilt for a picture....

Bonus points if your cheesehead hat has dicing on it.

Double bonus if the dicing is green and yellow.

FYI Gents - I am selling two very lovely plain Glengarry bonnets in the "For Sale" section. Both bonnets are made by Robert Mackie and are in "like new" condition.

    Cheers,

I use a balmoral with tweed jacket day wear or glengarry with more formal Black Argyll jacket or Prince Charlie, but in this last case I do not wear a "hat", only if I play the bagpipes in the event

It would have to be white and green. Yellow would blend too well with the gold of the cheese.

If the Augusta Lynx still existed, I'd link the photo of me on the fan shots. Black kilt, with the black home jersey (borrowed) and cat ears/whiskers, blue and grey hockey socks instead of hose and my bodhran with a temporary cover of the logo. I love my teams....unfortunately, I have to find a new NHL team due to Atlanta loosing it's SECOND team to all you Canukistanis! (And I just can't bear to support the hated Hurricanes or the evil Capitols!)
