Scottish dinner in Franklin, NC
Some quick pictures from the Scottish dinner we attended in Franklin, NC this past Saturday. Me, my wife, our girls, and our hosts (and Ronan from the STM on the far left, leaning over to talk to Matt Newsome!):

Thanks for posting. While I had my camera with me, sadly I did not get any pictures of the night.

You, and your darling bride, both look smashing, as well as very happy.

KCW: Thanks for posting the pictures. I envy your ability to make the haji to the tartan mecca. I hope to do so myself, someday.
You have a lovely family - two very pretty daughters, I might add. Who are the older couple in the picture? Also, it's nice to finally see what Ronan looks like.
That's a well-balanced outfit - very nice. One suggestion: I have learned from this forum, and from subsequent experience, that one gets the "best" picture of a kilted subject, if the photographer will kneel down and take the shot from about waist level. I realize that is not always possible, eg asking your wife to genuflect in front of you in public for that perfect shot.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Absolutely right about taking photos at waist level to avoid the parallax effect which makes the kilt look longer when the camera is at eye level and the person is less than 5 feet away. The topic is discussed in the linked thread: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=73798

Great to see all the smiles - so many members put on their serious face for the camera and then say "We had a great time". But here we can see the great time!
Regards
