There is a section on their website called "Why Tilley?", which I have linked to HERE. In a nut shell, they are durable, functional, and come in a variety of styles/colours.

Thanks for the link Colin
I have to say this one looks like a very good trail hat for the sun

Lookin good.
As many have said, you cant go wrong with a Tilley. For me, that is a given.
I would also swap the short sleeved shirt for 1 with long sleeves. Especially if youre goin in the bush.

As I was reading your post, before I scrolled down to the pics, I thought "leggings? Weird." Then saw the picture. Now I'm hooked. For no other reason than I just like the way the leggings look with your casual look. I don't even mind the diced hose tops. Good look.

I have to vote for the Tilley for two reasons. One they're Canadian and two I have one and love it.
I'm just trying to be the person my dog thinks I am.

Also own an Equator which is similar to a summer Tilley AND has a drop-flap in the back to prevent "red neck." Sad its brim is not as wide as a Tilley, so sunscreen is still slathered on like mayonnaise.

Tilley. Bought forever. If your dog eats it, Jamie, or you dump your paint can onto it, or a much faster runner than you are tears it from your head and dashes away -- Tilley will take care of you. Canadian hat insurance.

I too am a Tilley man. I have worn a Tilley T3 for over ten years now. Goes great with a kilt!

No pics, but another vote for the Tilley. Amazing hats, I've been wearing them for nearly 20 years now.
OP - other than the hat and too-formal diced hose tops, I like the look. Not even somewhat blasphemous.
