    Flagstaff, Arizona Highland Celtic Festival

Anyone here attending this event? I'm going to participate (rather than "compete") in the heavy events (my first time). There are a couple of us from the Crossfit box here in Prescott attending. Along with the events, the Knockabouts always put on a fine show at Charly's at the Weatherford Hotel. Would love to meet up if anyone is heading to the highlands!

May drive down. Have a long road trip the following weekend so not sure yet. Count on rain....just seems the hallmark of the Flagstaff games to have the monsoons drop by. So....definate maybe so far. Worth the trip for anyone considering it though.

We were discussing the weather during some throwing practice yesterday. A friend who has done Flag a couple of times said that he got his best caber pick at Flag, only to have the wind pick up and blow the caber over.

Just decided to head down Saturday.

Look for me shopping in the vendor tents, or at Kenneth's triple spiral labyrinth, or nibbling cookies at the Clan Cameron tent.

Okay, I got down there and got my free car wash during the monsoon thunderboomers.

Forgot my camera!!! (It gets worse every day!) But had the cell phone camera and took a few with it.

Here's Kenneth at his incredible triple spiral labyrinth

Check out the incredible skunk sporran. The ladies just "had" to touch it. Forget the tartan but its a Kathy Lare hand sewn kilt he's wearing.

Me navigating the labyrinth just before the skys opened up.

After the rain saw this shield/sign at the Clan Donald tent and just "had" to take this pic.

Of course that's my Macdonald Lord of the Isles tartan kilt, hand sewn by Kathy Lare. My first ever hand sewn kilt. Only weight it came in back then was 10 ounce...so its 10 ounce but my go to handsewn for hot, muggy, weather. Gotta remember to zip up my sporran before posing for pics...

Also ran into Scratchy at the games.
