    No problem, John!

I spent the summer in the UK when I graduated from High School. My Mum's Scottish uncle was always telling to speak the King's English. So I am quite aware of the difficulty we have understanding one another with our common language.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

We sometimes have trouble with our own regional accents. I like some older English comedies like Are You being Served, As Time Goes By, Fawlty Towers, Red Dwarf, Keeping Up Appearances, Jeeves A Wooster, and Sci-Fi like Doctor Who, Sarah Jane Adventures, K-9, and Torchwood. My hats off to the BBC for these.

My connection messed me up, I had included Waiting For God, but when I redid it, it didn't come out.

    McElmurry:

The shows you mention, I haven't seen.

"Waiting on God" and The Sherlock Holmes series with Jeremy Brett are the only two BBC productions I found great enough to get or record on DVD. Most of the PBS stuff here is "entertainment not worth watching" for me.

Last night, on my break at Wally World, I went in to the Tropical Smoothie Café for one of their delicious smoothies. As I was the only customer there the gals took the opportunity to ask me about my kilt wearing.

They wanted to know if I was Scottish and why I wore the kilt. I told them I do have Scottish ancestry and I do belong to the local Scottish Society. Wearing the kilt gives me opportunities to tell others about the Scottish Society. But I mainly wear the kilt as I find it a very comfortable garment to wear.

At Wally World, I can wear only a khaki kilt to comply with their “dress” policy of khaki p@nts. In my day job, I wear tartan kilts about twice a week. It was a nice encounter, but I didn’t tell them I enjoy kilt wearing for the attention I get from the ladies.
