Great pics, glad you enjoyed your visit to Scotland. Be sure to come south of Edinburgh next time!

Great pictures Jackson. I felt the same way when I saw the Maclean marker and all the mixed clans. They said they don't know where the other side was buried, only Jacobites are buried there.

I do know there are some Camerons buried there along with their comrades. Cullodon is really a neat place. I wish I had had more time to spend there, but, made the most of what time we did have. I know at least one Cameron survived and was captured by the British and transported to the colonies--that's how I come to be here, I'm sure some were left behind, though. It's one of those places that definately "speak to ya".
The re-enactor was also a Cameron descendent, so, we're probably related. I do Civil War re-enacting here, so we had a great visit. Fine folks. Quite handsome, too. And, yes, that kilt is a Sport kilt in what they call the Air Force tartan. It certainly doesn't compare to the Cameron kilt that Rocky made for me, but, that day it had been raining and I knew we'd be sitting on the bus most of the day. I figured that would be a perfect scenario for a Sporter. It was, and saved my good one for evening wear.
Any of you folks that do Facebook, I've posted a bunch of pictures there.

I don't have a kilt yet but one is on order. After a visit to Scotland and there I decided it was time. I did really enjoy the Haggis for breakfast everyday in Scotland. Nothing like a full Scottish breakfast.

David, we had a wonderful time and booked our travel through a travel agency and would be happy to share the name with anyone who wants it. Just send me a private note or e-mail. I'm not sure how XMTS stands on mentioning names. My wife found out about this trip, about a year ago through one of her woman's clubs and we decided to take advantage of it. It included air fare, guided bus tours, most of the meals (the food was fantastic, too, by the way), hotels, transfers, all I had to do was look out the window and enjoy. Highlights included, Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood House, Scottish dinner and show, Glamis Castle, a distillery tour, Inverness, Cullodon, Atholl Cairns, Loch Ness, boat ride on Loch Lomond, day shopping in Ayr, ferry ride to Belfast, city tour, St. Patricks, Giant's Causeway, visit to a wool mill, Londonderry, Dublin, pub'in in Dublin, Ulster American Folk Park, tour of Guinness Warehouse, Irish dinner show, and too many other things to even list. It was great. Great people, very knowledgeable travel guides, great companions (22 other then us), beautiful scenery, fantastic food, entertainment, hotels. I was able to wear my kilt on several occassions, while in Scotland, had received many positive compliments from locals and tour companions, alike. I would highly recommend it........
