I just got out of the shower and decided to eat the final "Sinnabun"! This message by the way is for a certain camp participant who I know upon reading this will be shouting at the sky in rage " You mean there was one more and I missed it? Noooooo! "
Camp was great and while teaching was arduous ( it's tough trying to teach the "right way" when you've learned short cuts ) the whole even was excellent! I learned a great deal from the traditional side of the house, and had a blast meeting, and working with all the folks that turned out. Great job everyone!

A few more photos:

Jhockin using his 'purling" machine to do the fringe on a scarf for his daughter.

Barb was busy herself sewing a kingussie kilt in Hudson Bay tartan for her daughter.

With the exception of Xman and Okiwen, who are still upstairs, everyone else has left. Harlan (H.Hastings) is driving to his daughter's place in Utah. Mike (Mike in Dayton) will fly back to Ohio this afternoon. Joanne (Joanne Graham) and her family are driving up island for some vacation. Laurie (RB51) left this morning for Kamloops ; Bruce (brucebc) and Jerry (jhockin) left last night and this morning for Vancouver and Abbotsford respectively. Charlotte left yesterday to spend some time on one of the small islands before school starts -- she'll come back to the shop in September to finish her kilt. Zoe left for several weeks with her husband in Europe. David and Barbara will probably stop by today for final touches. Okiwen is going to stay a few days and work on some additional kilts. Xman returns to Vancouver today. I dropped Barb off at the airport this morning at 6:30.
Jackson, Steve and I had a wonderful -- albeit exhausting -- time. We were asked if there would be another Kilt Kamp in the near future...... A late night conversation yesterday had everyone trying to convince Barb to host a Kilt Kamp at Hamilton College in New York where she lives and teaches. So, put the pressure on, folks!

Reason: Correction on photo of jhockin and his machine -- purling not plying.

It's silent, but not invisible. :-)

"I don't remember it taking this many stitches the last time." "Everything grows bigger in the north."

It was great meeting and working with you bud. Remember that without pics of the kingussie it doesn't exist. ;)
