Albannach are the best. I have seen them four different times here in Florida.

My suggestions will be a bit dated... many of my favourite groups are from the 80's and even 70s...

They are traditional groups, not rock

    Scottish:

    Tannahill Weavers
    Old Blind Dogs
Kentigern (this is an obscure Scottish band from around 1980... probably hard to find)

    Irish:

    De Danann
    The Bothy Band
    Danu
    Altan

I love these guys. Listening to them is like listening to the soundtrack of Scottish war movies.

I feel like I used to know a ton of Celtic bands. I cant seem to remember them right now.

For piping, I like the Red Hot Chili Pipers and The Wicked Tinkers. If you can find them, check out Barleyjuice and the Tim Malloys. Dropkick Murphys always good for a bit of 'oi' like Flogging Molly and the Real MacKenzies. See also An Dochas, the Mudmen and Great Big Sea.

    Celtic Rock:
    Tartan Terrors
    The Mahones

You should also check out the McDades (LINK). Their roots are in Celtic music, but they also bring in influences from a lot of other areas, such as country, jazz, classical, and world music.
