    Cool.

I'm split between modern and weathered red. Both look great.

That is a big question, and a very good point, concerning the sporran color affecting the look of the tartan.

Though the lighting did turn out just slightly different between these two, I think it still helps to illustrate the point:

Generally speaking, I think black is more versatile, but for someone who would mostly be wearing their kilt in a more casual setting, brown might be the ticket... especially if they prefered how brown interacted with the color of their tartan.

Rondo, you read my mind. I am leaning toward this sporran at the moment. If you squint your eyes it looks a little like a muskrat.

    Just a few more weeks

My tartan has made it to the top of the queue and my kilt is now under construction. Here are some of the pleating options. I decided to go with pleated to the sett.

Always thought sett would look best with that tartan.

I noticed today that Locharran now has a weathered version of Morrison red to go along with the ancient and modern.

According to Canada Post tracking my kilt has crossed the border into the USA at SFO.
With any luck I should have it in time for the Pleasanton games at weekend next.

    Sporran

I am pretty certain that is a photo of my sporran Rick, as it was the first of its type that Donnie made with the snap on a tongue vs the cigar box latch. I would be happy to lend it to you if you need it by Pleasanton. I just received another version of it a couple of weeks ago in chocolate brown with basket weave lid, rolled edge, and brass snap, my new favorite sporran!

    Let me know.

    Brooke
