Wisconsin Highland Games 2012

Anyone going? I think I and my bride will be there, but she will just have come back from a month in India, so she may decide she wants to just stay home and vegetate.

Is there a traditional meet-up point for these games?

I'll be attending both days of the Wisconsin highland games (along with my wife). I've never been to the WI games before so I'm not sure if there's a traditional XMarks meet up. If not, perhaps we could start one.

I' ll be attending on Saturday. I live in Waukesha and have attended several of these and you will enjoy it. Saturday is probably the busiest with the pipe and drum and heavy weight competitions. As for a meeting place, I don't know if anyone has had one set aside but my suggestion would be the clan area and maybe around the St. Andrews display area. I thought there may have been a previous thread about the games and Meegers and Artificer had responded to it. I looked thought the list but couldn't find it since they drop off fast than they use to. I will probably be wearing the Wisconsin tartan and be carrying a black walking stick with a white eagle head on it. Look forward to meeting you. Have a safe drive.

We attended two years ago (I think) and had a good time despite the less-than-ideal weather (it was uncommonly cool and windy). We're still planning on going, so maybe closer to time we can figure out a quick meet-up point. If I don't make it, you could probably find us in the pub tent; my wife really likes the Sandcarvers, so we'll be staking out a good spot there.
