    Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival

Anyone going to Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival Sept 6-9th. I will be going, first timer, so need some advice. We will be camping, 5th wheel, at Elk Meadows Campground. We have been to the Estes Park and Rocky Mountain NP many times just never been there during the Highland Festival.

    Yep

Yes indeedy. Connie and I will be there both days. I will leave it up to the locals, or previous attendees, to set up a meet and greet as we don't know the layout. We are really looking forward to the event and some tour time in the park. See you soon!

I will be hosting our clan tent all weekend (Fri - Sun). Stop by any time as several others will be stopping too. I'll be the one in the Livingston kilt

We will be there with our Bonnie Lass, and rescued Airedale Terrier Ginger. Both love this festival, and Ginger was awarded Dog of the Festival two years ago.

If you have an Airedale, I'm sure we'll meet up. My wife's best childhood chum was her Airedale Aggie. She will sniff you out and Ginger will likely get more attention than she wants.

There is a big parade downtown on Saturday morning, and you can see the Pipe bands, regiments, Clans, Dogs of the British Isles, and more. From there, head to the Fairgrounds to the Festival- I think Saturday is the best day, but Friday and Sunday are grand as well.

Saturday is by far the worst for crowds. If you can go on Friday or Sunday it is less taxing and you will get to see more without the crowds. Especially the music, if that is of interest to you.
