Got it in one. I spent about a year and a half picking my first tartan which was the motivation for the title of this thread

So without further ado here it is.

The button down collar just happened to be what I wore to work today and I didn’t want to rumple the dress shirt I am going to wear on Sunday. I wanted to get the kilt and then pick some hose so I will be shopping for hose on Sunday as well.
Otherwise this is the be prepared for near 100 F degrees outfit.

I am not quite sure why the iPad messed up the white balance but the claret of the kilt is pretty true.

    Constructive comments welcome.

I really like those flesh toned hose, they set off the color of the waistcoat quite nicely !

    See ya Sunday!!

Wow, I like how the colors turned out. Can't decide between the weathered and modern versions, but the muted you're wearing looks rather nice.

And a fine kilt it is, McElmurry.
I only hope that when I order, and eventually receive, my clan tartan kilt I will be nearly as smartly turned out.

The colours are great. You made a fantastic choice! I have a pleated skirt in Morrison red that is bright red and always get compliments. I think yours tops it. Hmm... House of Edgar you said eh?

Thank you all for the kind words.

Yes Lorna, House of Edgar muted line in 13oz. If you like claret it is quite striking.

Very nice tartan choice for your first kilt. I'm also a big fan of the waistcoat with that kilt. It's a nice contrast to the dark colors.
