    Name that Tartan

    Quick Quiz:

Is this the Royal Stewart tartan, or the new "Tilted Kilt" corporate tartan? You decide!

Well Matt, it's new to me and clearly has RS as its starting point but to my mind reducing the B and G to two threads whilst keeping the proportions of the other colours per the norm I'd have to go with either a Trade error of a new Corporate.

Cancel last. I've just got the details through from STR. Not sure that I'd have accepted that on the basis that it's highly likely that there's some other RS varation around that this 'new' sett might be confused with.

I'm no expert, nor even close, but for Royal Stewart even to my eye the proportions look off. So, before even reading the others I'd vote NOT Royal Stewart....

kinda odd that they wouldn't just o.the distance and make their own tartan??

Much too similar, and I said as much on the SRT’s Facebook page this evening.

It makes a lot of sense for them to use a tartan close to, but not exactly Royal Stewart - nice and familiar, instantly takes the mind to Scotland, and yet, is fully Trademark-able.

My very new and untrained eye looks like the twisted kilt tartan.
