Columbus, Indiana Games, Sept. 8-9

I'll be hosting our clan tent, filling in for our Indiana Commissioner who will be in Scotland (sigh). Hoping for more moderate temperatures than we've had this past month. Would welcome any rabble visitors. My better half has promised to do up a batch of homemade shortbread.

I'll be there with the Louisville Pipe Band. We're performing twice on Saturday (once about 10:30 in the morning, then once about 2:00 in the afternoon), plus massed bands for the opening ceremonies at noon.

We can try, but I'll be carpooling, and my ride may want to leave immediately after our last show. By that time of day, I may be dead on my feet anyway. (I'll be working to about 1 AM, it'll take me time to get home & unwind before bed, then a 7 AM get-up in order to shower/etc. & get over to my ride's house so's we can leave and arrive in Columbus for the piper's tune-up call at 9:30 - one hour prior to the first show.)

I'll be playing the bass drum for the band most of the time this weekend (our regular bassy just got diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes yesterday, so he's out for a while). I'll also be emceeing the shows, and may pipe a little as needed.

Hi David

Will be there both days but expect to be tied to the vendor tent most of the time. Will try to at least stop by the clan tents when I have a chance.
