Well, now, of course I am going to put in my two cents. :o
I DO wear a kilt, and not a ladies 'pleated skirt' (or whatever you may call them), because my opinion is that they make me (and most younger women) look frumpy and matronly. On the other hand, I have seen some men who look absolutely ridiculous in a kilt, too. So, I guess, to each his own. I believe in tradition, but if you men had your way, we women would not own one pair of trousers, and would still be stuck in skirts! I think that we should all wear what makes us comfortable and proud. I would never knock tradition, as there is a time and place for everything, but, jeeez.......I have not reached an opinion on the sporran issue, but I do believe (and I am agreeing with Bubba here) that women do need some type of little rectangle bag or such for our 'bits and pieces'. After all, carrying a handbag looks absolutly ridiculous.
And that's all I have to say about that. (And of course, with my respect to all of you...........
