They are both contemporary-style muisc (post-Rock) for which I have no name. I like them both a lot. Closest American equivalent might be Airborne Toxic Event.
On the modern Celtic side, I like Enter the Haggis a lot. Catch them in concert if you can (from Cananda).
Will try to find the bands you mentioned, but its kind of hard to me to catch them in a concert
