They arrived today, just in time for tomorrow's Fredericksburg Welsh Festival. I'll be wearing one of Matt's SBP in St. Patrick's tartan.

I just received my pair this afternoon and they are definitely more snug than the Lewis, Rannock or any of the patterned top House of Cheviot hose I have. Perhaps I got a really narrow pair, but, as is, I would not suggest them if you have larger than average calves. For comparison, my calves are 15-1/2 inches at their widest ( they appear pretty average to me ) I believe that the House of Cheviot "Harris" line is designed for those with larger like calves.

    Best of luck!

Both a bison and lovat blue (aka blue mix) pair arrived via USPS, yesterday. They are my first Glenmore hose. Their look and feel are great. They fit me just like the Lewis line, but are not as thick, so they will be most useful for our warmer summer and early fall weather. Thanks for the heads up and information, Matt.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I usually recommend the Harris hose for anyone who has calves over 16", though I do know people who have calves of 17" and tell me they wear the Lewis hose with no problem.

With 15.5" calves, I would think the Glenmore would work well for you, but if you find they are too snug, just shoot me an email and we can work out something.

If you have large calves, I strongly recommend the Harris hose from House of Cheviot. They can fit up to a 26" circumference calf!

Sorry Matt, I didn't mean to come across as if I was complaining. If I had a problem with the hose I certainly would have come to you first before posting to an open forum. The hose are fine but, I assume that due to their composition, they seem to stretch less than the more substantial lines of House of Cheviot hose. Because of that, I too recommended the Harris line to rmacay or anyone with larger calves. I purchased these specifically because they are lighter weight (thinner), and am looking forward to testing them out soon. I'll try to get some pics posted when I do.

Thanks again for the heads up on the discount!

Great deal. I ordered on the 20th and were waiting at Post Office for me on the 24th. Plus superior customer service from Matt. I also ordered a pair of Bowmore Country Socks but in the wrong size (my bad). There is a more detailed size chart on the Amazon profile page for New House Highland. I suggest checking that chart before ordering. I also ordered flashes(yellow actually gold) and garter ties( red) from The Tartan Museum Gift shop. Both look great with the Lovat Blue/Mixed Blue Glenmore hose and my Macneil of Barra Ancient kilt. Thanks Matt!
