    Out & about - Lowe's & WalMart

Needed more sheet rock supplies and ran clear out of ice cream, so needed to go out. Figured on a wet crummy day I would wear my acrylic Black Watch, a dark blue zip up turtleneck sweater (I have a few of these - I like them), hose w/garters, no flashes, and nice black loafers. For man stuff, instead of donning my chain-held sporran, I brought the Coach "man bag" my wife bought for me this past summer. I use it now all the time. It holds my wallet, Kindle, camera, reading glasses and iphone, as well as other stuff once in a while. I didn't get any comments while out, which is just fine with me!

Not very fancy, but very comfortable.

    "It's a satchel!"

I wore this to a poetry reading from a friend's newly published book. I thought it artistic, tasteful, and concomitant with poetic license. At least I didn't get thrown out.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I really like the idea of your 'satchel', Frank. I have a quite nice male backpack, but of course it has two straps, not just the one. It will sit on my back quite nicely, but the putting on and taking off is a real hassle. If I use it with just a single strap it tends to twist and slide off my shoulder.

Yours with the single strap looks to be a real improvement.

    Regards

    Chas

Thanks Chas. This one is kinda neat because I can carry it 3 ways - by the loop on the top (quick stops), with it just over one shoulder (not for long), and then with the strap up and over my head with the satchel on my back. I use it all the time now.

    Enjoy your day sir!
