Had an extra large time at the Indy Games. Highlights for me included a visit by my son, grandson and one grand daughter. Also met and visited with several Xmarkers - Mike Montgomery, Mike Allen, Tom Hay, Mark Stephenson and Larry (chainsaw02), We never got to a group photo op. It was pretty hectic for most of the day. Great way to end the Games season!

David and all,
It was great to see everyone at the games. Maybe next year we can get a group photo at either Columbus IN games or Indy.

David ,
Great to see you again ! It was also a pleasure to meet your son , grandson and grandaughter . Did your grandson talk you or his dad into getting a crossbow ?
Thank you for the bestowing of that special Order of the Garter ( okay before anyone asks it's not the Royal Order )
David , I noticed there were several XMarkers there , we will have to set up a group pic next year ! On a side note , I was talking to a representative of the Indianapolis Scottish Society ( organizers of the event ) and he said this gathering keeps growing and quite fast as it's only their thrid year and they have doubled in size .
Hopefully this is a good sign , one would think that in an area the size of Indy there would be a lot of Scots willing to support this event ( and general public searching their Scottish roots or just interested public ) .
As always , my best !

Larry ,
It was great meeting up with you at Indy . We met briefly at the end of the Columbus IN games and I wanted to stop by and say hi to a fellow XMarkers at the Indy Games . Best wishes on your touring in the RV and very cool beaver sporran !

Hi Mike,
No, Josh didn't get a crossbow. When he's a couple years older, I will give him the stick bow that my Dad carved from Osage Orange around 1930. He's not quite tall enough for it yet.
I really like the venue at Indy. It's a beautiful park, and having the clan tents right next to the heavy games was great for traffic. The only disadvantage I see is the vendors and entertainment being way down the hill from the rest of the festivities.
One of the reasons that we didn't get an Xmarks group photo was that we were so busy at the clan tent most of the day. I wish we could have had more time to shoot the breeze. Both Indy and Columbus are on my calendar for next year. Hope to visit with you again then.
BTW, it's the Order of the White Garter, which might save some confusion.
