Ok - so I wear my Nightstalker cargo sporran with practically everything I wear. That includes the dress jeans I wear to work. It must be said that unless I'm wearing a kilt, the sporran is not in proper sporran position. Instead, when I'm wearing the bifurcated garment of the day, I have the sporran on my hip. It has a separate belt from my p@nts. As a side note, I've received many, many compliments on it and have used it as an introduction to "things Scottish". An additional note is I frequently wear my lesser quality hose as socks with my boots -- they're really comfortable... And, furthermore, I've been known to wear my "Jacobite" shorts with the bifurcated garments also. About the only thing I *don't* wear while dressing in a non-kilted manner is my balmoral...

Sorry Rob but it made me spit my coffee out. Funny how a small typo can cause so much mirth

I've done exactly that with my own Nightstalker sporran.

I assume that you are an adult & pay for your clothes. I see no reason why you cant wear a sporran with anything you like. It makes a statement.

Using something called a sporran sounds much more masculine than the term Murse. ![Rolling Eyes](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)
Think this Murse (Man purse) will catch on about as well as MUG (Mans unbifubricated garment) did. For the same reasons.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

Unfortunate, as both terms are far more accurate in this case, and neither is the least bit "Scottish".

OK, maybe "wrong" was too harsh a word. There is no right or wrong here. But wearing a sporran would be a bit odd and way out of context with trousers, if it's worn in the same manner as with a kilt. It would be like wearing ghillie brogues with Bermuda shorts.

Wearing it on the hip like any other belt pouch? OK, maybe. I could see that, if it's not an overly traditional Scottish style sporran. The Nightstalker cargo sporran is actually a good candidate for that.
By the way, what are "dress jeans"?

Denim with a predominantly white weave that we wear for dancing.
