    moira & haigh

In that case the photo would most likely be London Scottish
Moira & Haigh being an English photography Co
I'll not be lied to , stolen from or laid a hand upon. I do this to no man and I require the same in return.

    Estate Tartans?

It's been awhile since I've read about "estate tartans". Is that the pattern of the jackets? And the hose look light grey but shaded blue.

I think the patterned tweed jacket is simply a generic pattern, and not a tweed of an estate design, though the latter does in fact exist.

Yes one would think London Scottish, except that the uniform and badges don't match any images I've seen of that regiment. Note the different sporran badge for example, and the different cuffs on the jacket. It could be that early on (the London Scottish began in 1859) the uniform was different.

Here are some guys in the old days, in Glasgow

    Inverness

    Montrose

    and Cedar Rapids!

and a charming photo of two pipers with their lovely escorts evidently on their way to a gig!

I recently stumbled onto this one: King Edward VII kilted and IN COLOUR! This is not a hand-tinted photo, but an actual colour pic.
