Wow what a great thread and what sharp dressers! Most the men I'm around would go out in a black belt, brown boots, blue jeans, and a button up shirt and call it semi-formal. Do we have a thread like this for kilted/pleated skirts for women?

I just wanted to thank the Original Posters and this thread, thanks to your efforts and reference photos I've gotten Kilts approved for my workplace here in North Texas.

In fact the pictures this thread were INSTRUMENTAL in working with HR and my various bosses to clarify what was and wasn't within code (#4 through #8).
