I am with MacORath on this one , stick with the three button when wearing the PC, but I also had the same thought as Tam above about a nice red waistcoat, especially with the tartan kilt in your photo. Not sure how it would with the Stewart Hunting though. But I like a nice contrasting waistcoat especially in less formal settings. Alternatively, consider a tartan waistcoat cut on bias.
