Scotch Christmas tree
Hello,
I'm getting an early start on a Christmas present for my brother, father and all my uncles on my mother's side of the family. What I've come up with ithink is such a fun idea I wanted to share it here. The present is:
A 2 foot tall, give or take, Christmas tree.
All the ornaments are 50ml bottles of bourbon, scotch, irish or Canadian whiskies. I'm using about 3 dozen bottles, each with a ribbon loop glued on to use for hanging it.
The presents under the tree are rocks glasses that my cousin is painting to look like wrapped boxes.
That's the idea, if you like it, try it. A word of warning, I've spent about $120 on just the bottles so far so be prepared when you start shopping.
I won't have the tree decorated until Christmas, I'm trying to keep it a surprise. As soon as it is all together I will post photos.

I have pics of the ornaments, but I won't have the tree together and decorated until the family Christmas party. Here they are, hidden in a shoe box. It is supposed to be a surprise after all.

We assume of course, that the tree in question is a Scotch Pine. ;)

Wonderful idea. I go to Gambia for our winter and one of the restaurants out there has a 20' metal frame in the shape of a "christmas" tree which only has lights and wine bottles on it. It looks great. so looking forward to the pictures of yours.
