Here is a name idea. Emers. It is actually the nickname for our daughter Emilie. We didn't know it at the time, but the name Emer is a girls name of Irish and Gaelic origin. Anglicized form of traditional names Eimer or Émer. In Irish legend, Emer was a woman blessed with six gifts or virtues: beauty, voice, speech, needlework, wisdom and chastity. In Scotland, the form Emihir is used by Sorley MacLean in the "Poems to Emihir".

Congratulations! Good decision! We recently rescued a Yorkie from a shelter. I named him Watson, out of my love for all things Sherlock Holmes.
Hmmm...names...of Scottish origin...any of them will certainly be better than "Squeaky Boo."

Good news, Squeaky Boo is going to be spayed this week, and will be ready to adopt as early as this Thursday. The bad news, I just started a temporary job that will prevent me from being able to adopt her that soon, as I'm working during shelter hours, except for the days that the shelter is closed. Worse news, a family is also interested in adopting her. I know, as I showed her to them today (my one day off that matched with the shelter's schedule, this week).
Nice news is that the shelter staff was willing to make her unavailable for adoption by anyone else, if I wanted her. However, with the new, temporary job, I wouldn't have the time necessary to properly acclimate a kitten to my home for a couple of weeks. After the job is done, if she is still available, then I will go forward and adopt. If she is adopted before then, I'll just have to wait until the next special connection is made.

What a selfless person you are. Whatever happens, Squeaky Boo will end up where she is needed the most and you will find a little friend to crawl into your heart.
This post is a natural product made from Recycled electrons. The slight variations in spelling and grammar enhance its individual character and beauty and in no way are to be considered flaws or defects.

***!! I'm truly impressed by this story. As the guardian of two rescue pups (one stray, one rescue), these things really do seem to work out for the best. Best of luck to you and Squeaky Boo, wherever she may end up.
