My father doesn't kilt due to his "middle girth" (14 DEC 2012 - ca'nae wait!). But, he wears his tartan vest with slacks and sport coat regulary. Always complimented, particularly by ex-pat matrons.

I never thought I would see the day where a guy in a kilt, with a tartan waistcoat, and a tattersall shirt would look tame compared to the guy next to him. Dale, your sensei is BIG pimpin'! Nice

Mac What is the name of this tartan? It is a beautiful tartan and I would like to have a kilt like it some day.

LitTrog -- one of my favorite episodes!

And since Matt was so good as to post all those pics of himself in a kilt/waistcoat ensemble, I should point out that the tweed (yes, they're tweed!) kilt & waistcoat I'm wearing in this thread were made by him as well.

I'm not Matt, but I can tell you that he's wearing his own personal tartan that he designed for his family.

What REALLY does it is that he has that jacket tucked into his pants.

He just turned 82 by Japanese reckoning. And throughout the 3 days of the "Daikomyosai" intensive international training seminar he was constantly doing stuff that just had my jaw dropping to the floor.

After 29 years of training under his direction.
