    whisky and chutney tasting

For those of the rabble that are in the San Francisco area. On Thursday 12/13 and again on Thursday 12/20 the Whisky Shop in the Wm. Glenn Scottish store at 300 Sutter St. S.F. will be having a free whisky and chutney tasting. Hours are from noon to 3 PM both Thursdays. Maybe we can get a group together on one of the days and overwhelm them with our kilts.

What a fantastic offering, I love both. A ploughmans lunch is a favorite of mine and the chutney can make all the difference in the world. And whisky...just goes without saying.

Was just there today to pick up a celebratory bottle of scotch and went with the Ardbeg Galileo. Had a nice rundown of various options with a man from Aberdeen who works there. I mentioned the Chutney and Whisky event and he said he's heard the habanero chutney pairs nicely with scotch. We'll have to see!

I will be job interviewing in Detroit on the 13th, unless I can convince the pilot to redirect the flight earlier that morning with the promise of free scotch. Difficult choice for me to consider. Enjoy the event. Wishing I could be there to enjoy it with you all.

Unfortunately I have learned tonight that "she who must be obeyed" wants to Christmas shop for the kids on Thursday and expects me to pick her up at noon and drive her, assist in the buying, then unload and hide everything before the kids get home from school at 3:15. So 12-3 is now unavailable for scotch and chutney.

Wish I could be joining you. Slainte!
