SF Dickens Fair 2012
Went to the Dickens Fair here in San Francisco today. Decided to go all out as far as my outfit was concerned. I thought I looked pretty good but there was one man there in a black PC with fly plaid and a beautiful horse hair sporran that kinda put me to shame. Ah well, I did get a lot of good comments and was asked to pose for several pics. Here is one taken by the lady friend I was with on her cell phone.

Put you to shame? Somehow I very seriously doubt that. This is a VERY sharp-looking ensemble.
And thanks for reminding me about the Dickens Faire. I haven't been for 2-3 years, as my SO doesn't like it for some reason. But maybe this year, and there IS still time.
Oh, and speaking of "still time" -- Since you're local, you might want to check out the California Christmas Revels. See my post and pics here: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/s...30#post1138730

Great outfit! I went to the SF Dickens Faire and the Christmas Revels the last year (before kilt). I'm hoping to again get both in this year's plans. Thanks to both of you for outfit inspiration.

Well, if it helps to spur you on: Yesterday at intermission, a lovely lass made her way over to me in the (very crowded!) lobby and said, "It's such a wonderful occasion for a kilt -- I'm really glad you did that!".

You look really sharp in that outfit, and your green doublet would outshine a black one with that kilt any day of the week.
The Kilt is my delight !
