I checked my local WalMart and (drum roll please) Yes, we have them too. I wonder how good I've been this year...
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.

Bill: Lucky guy! Good for you. Maybe Walmart is test marketing them in select stores. I recommend that you and Kevin buy up the whole lot, so they'll offer them in stores closer to the rest of us.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I checked out the local WalMart (and remembered why going into WalMart on a Saturday the week before Christmas is not a great idea) in the off chance some of these may have made their way north. No such luck. As Tess mentioned, there was plenty of camouflage, in several different patterns I might add, but no Harris Tweed.

Made the trek into the local Wally World, braving the Chrismas shoppers, just to have my hopes dashed.
no Harris Tweed available here in the southeast of Colorado.
But then again, I didn't expect much from the local rural store.

I went into the local Walmart here in El Paso thinking "no way, only kilties wear wool in El Paso". But there they were. They look like they are very well tailored and it is indeed Harris Tweed. Do I need another jacket...... oh crickey, they're only $74.94. What to do, what to do??

El Paso!? That's like selling sombreros and serapes in Inverness. Well, I guess a serape is a bit like a Mexican plaid.
The good news is that they are getting closer to Los Alamos every day. Let's see. El Paso is about a six-hour drive. Not too bad, but the gas would cost more than the jacket! Maybe I'll wait until they diffuse into Albuquerque.

The Walmart in York County, VA has the tweeds in stock. I was able to find a green/oatmeal mix in my size. I wished they had a blue weave in my size, but hey at least I was able to get one.
