So far as red tape, I put in a calendar request. I got an email asking "Who is sponsoring this event?" I replied "Congress and the President" referencing the House and Senate resolutions and the Presidential Proclamation. The next thing I hear is an automated email telling me the status of the event has been changed to "Approved", and sure enough, there it is on the calendar.

Not much to share in details ![Cool](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif) But I spent my entire military career in NSA-funded positions. My first duty station was RAF Chicksand (now closed) working jointly for NSA and GCHQ. And I retired from active duty in 2002, the year of NSA's 50th anniversary.
But back to the original topic - I am still impressed that you managed to cut through the red tape and get National Tartan Day on thier calendar! That is fantastic.

Goeff, that's wonderful. As a retired govt. employee, I've always thought the NSA was one of those "neither confirm, nor deny" agencies that exists only in the imaginations of spy novelists. LOL!
Anyway, I hope I get my kilt by then, because I have some kilt-wearing friends who will have theirs on. Delivery is supposed to be 8-12 weeks, which would put it the middle of March at the outside.

It would be difficult to hide. I don't know how many employees there are here, but we have our own exit from the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, labeled "NSA Employees Only"!

Before working for the VA, I worked for a company that had my closest office in Atlanta (I live in North Carolina), which was bad enough. When they moved the office to Columbia, Md. and I had to negotiate the Beltway from time to time, that really sucked.

I'm unaware if the FAA has an Agency calendar. I'll have to check into that.
