Sure ya can. Black leather kilt, black leather jacket, black leather scally cap, with the beard you'd look tough.

Maybe I should have decorate my sentence with more smilies to show it is a little joke.

If I ask for opinions I am grateful for any I can get. At last I'll make a decision of my own.

I like the Rampant Lion tarten, but I am not shure if it is an good choise for every day clothing. I like the Classic Barbour tartan as well and it would match to my Babour jacket, because it's lining is of this tartan. Just I did not find a shop were it is been sold. I ask kiltsandmore*, a german mail-order house. Maybe they are able to obtain a Kilt in Calssic Barbour.

I saw Kilts made of solid coloured black tartan somewhere. Could not remeber where. Because of the costs I cannot buy a Kilt this year. I have some month to think about it and make my decision.

I think the black tartan was one Hamish mentioned, IIRC, it was from TFCK.

Graham, by this point I'd think you should know to "never say never". I can see it now, some event will come up that the perfect item of clothing would be a rainbow leather Mc Donalds themed kilt worn with signature green tights. I can't imagine what event it could be, but now that you're on record as saying "I would never" you know fate will challege you with just such an occasion!

    Wolfgang,

The solid black tartan is 'Hidden Tartan' by www.highlandstore.com

Doc was correct in that this was featured by Hamish and this is certainly on my list of future kilts. All I require is the funds.

Actually Graham, I believe your stock has gone up considerably since because of it. Just goes to show what this affliction / addiction will do to a man! Who knows what the future holds. (Well... except for one individual that is.) 8)

I actually like the themed kilts, but I've noticed that you never see a pic of the pleats. I'm wondering if you can pleat to the "sett" on these to repeat the pattern, or if they're just blobs of color in the pleats.

The side view (squatted) is nice to look at as well.

Thank's Blu, your comments are appreciated, it will be interesting to see the response to a Victory kilt at home.

Wolfgang, the model on that website wears a themed kilt very well, but I still could not see me spending money on one.

I'd wear the blue rampant lion kilt in a heartbeat! Love the colors. It may not be suitable for a White tie affair... but then I wouldn't care because I don't attend white tie affairs!
