Shame about the broad welt and thick sole which makes them look far less elegant than they could have been - but that is quite common these days.
To my eyes, being most accustomed to seeing men in the type of shoes my father wore, it seems odd to have the perforated upper suitable for a shoe combined with a sole for a boot.

Very nice shoe for daywear, a the price is a bit dear to wear any place where they might get wet or muddy. I would have no problem wearing these, in fact I have a sporran bag for my M.O.D. Culloden sporran that matches the leather perfectly!

I wear a black monk strap shoe that doesn't have the kilt. I wear it with my kilt, my suits, slacks, and jeans. Very versatile.
