It is a tribute to Jamie's courtesy, good humor, imagination, and yes panache, that in less than 37 hours this thread has over 90 replies.
My thoughts and prayers are with Jamie and his family.

Sending up chants and smoke as well.

I've never met the man, but I hope that I can live the kind of life that can generate this kind of outpouring of well wishes and prayers.
Adding my wishes to the pool, as well. If anyone is planning on making a gift of flowers, balloons, or anything else - I would love to give a few dollars to the cause.

Jamie, Star, and Family,
I pray that the Lord will preserve you through this hardship and draw you close to Himself in the midst of it.

I would like to second Father Bills prayer and add: Slainte mhor agus a h-uile beannachd duibh
Good health and every good blessing to you! There is a mother's heart in the heart of God. And 'tis his delight to break the bread of love and truth for his children. May St. Bride look after Jamie and bless and keep this family in the prayers of the many.

I just talked to Panache's father. Panache "woke up" for a while this morning. He can't talk, as he's got a tube down his throat, but he responded to requests/instructions like "squeeze my finger".
VERY good news!!
