It's good to hear that he's awake and functional. Here's to a speedy, and more importantly complete recovery!

With luck, providing that the hospital can find a bed available, Panache should move out of the ICU, today, and into a "regular" room. I understand he had his first kilted visitor yesterday, so things are improving!
....and with that, I think "My work here, is done".... and I will leave updates to the F-H.C.A.G. and Panache, himself from here on out!.
UPDATE... he's been released from the ICU and now is in a "regular" room....

Thanks for your diligence, Alan. And to Panache, a speedy and full recovery.

Jamie's doctor told me he is planning on releasing him on Thursday. Yes, you heard me right, Thursday. The day after tomorrow. Unfricking believable (to paraphrase AlanH)! That gives me very little time to plan the kilted invasion and piping out, but I'm doing the best I can....
We'll try to post photos and updates, but I suspect things will be very full with his rest and recovery, so please be patient with us if you hear nothing for a while. AlanH and others will hopefully fill in the gaps.
I've had more than one of his multi doctor team tell me they are astounded he lived. I'm not. He had all of you helping. How could he not live?
Be well,
Star

Star, you're too kind: to keep us up to date, to give us undue credit, and to take care of our friend. You ARE a Star to all of us!
Blessings on both of you!

Star, that is fabulous news. It's amazing what a short time people are kept in hospital these days if they are progressing along nicely. I'm sure that Jamie will progress nicely at home without the stress of being poked and prodded every hour on the hour day and night.
