    Kilt hose for enormous calves

This has come up before, but I thought I'd get it up here again....

if you're looking for inexpensive everyday kilt hose and your have gigantic calves, the "O Marled" sock from sock dreams is a winner.

    http://www.sockdreams.com/products/o-marled:9044?xs=3

Twelve bucks...cotton and spandex and these things are so big that they would actually serve as an "over the knee" sock on ME. Joshua has written about these socks, as have a number of other people. I finally broke down and got a pair. LOVE THEM. They're very substantial. Apparently they used to have two colors...the oatmeal that they offer now and a heather green. I'm off to to message sockdreams and beg them to carry the green, again, and tell them about this particular useage for their sock.

I'm really glad there are more options out there than the Harris hose from HoC. AND at a fantastic price!

Thanks, Alan. They look great. While I have some oatmeal socks, these look a bit thicker. Just what I've been looking for at a substantial savings over the ones I was thinking of ordering.

Alan, those are, without a doubt, the longest socks I've ever owned. Had to fold them down 2-3 times to get them below the knee. Still, they'll go great with my X-kilts and are heavy enough for Minnesota this time of year. I also popped for their "kilt" hose in gray. Very light weight, perfect for mid-summer. $20 total for both pair, free shipping, and arrived within two days of my order—how can you go wrong?

While they're a few steps down from my more traditional wool kilt hose, they filled a couple voids in my sock drawer. Thanks again.

Okay, so other than enormous calves, anybody got socks for large heifers?

Ah yes, it is getting thick around here... an awful lot of manure! Sorry to have contributed to the corporate funny-bones of the Great Rabble!

    Well, not very sorry . . .
