    Jock Scot’s report of the record temperature in Scotland translates from 91.2°F to 32.888889°C.
    Of course Highland (and Lowland) regiments have served in much hotter climes.
    Pre-20th century, not all Highland regiments wore the kilt overseas, but those that did certainly adapted their uniform to the conditions.
    Shirtsleeve dress seems to have predominated, although full formal uniforms were often to be seen, too.

    Clearly you're referring to your Utilikilt, guns n roses tee shirt, and your baseball cap, worn with flip flops sandals. Lol.

    I voted #6, Traditional and Modern and wear them both ways depending on the occasion and my mood.

    Guns n Roses= who/what are they?
    T shirt= never owned or worn one.
    Baseball cap= never owned or worn one.
    Flip flops/sandals= never owned or worn them.
    "kiss"= ??????

    Ya know Jock, if you did go out thus clad after all these years, the whole community would be talking and wondering if you had slipped your noodle.

    Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

    I voted #5, but if I had read the thread first, I'd have voted #6, both kinds both ways. Depending on what I'm doing/where I'm going, I'll wear a kilt with shirt, shirt and tie, a polo, etc. I'll wear them with hose and shoes, or with socks scrunched down with boots. Whatever is appropriate at the time. No matter the case, whether it be wool or PV or canvas I wear my kilts up at my waist, with a sporran. What is appropriate at a Burns supper is not usually what I'd wear on stage playing bass. (flat cap, polo, and boots, but here a traditional or a canvas would be almost interchangable.)

    And for the record, I also don't like the term "MUG"

    I went with option two. It was a toss-up between one and two, but I do occasionally wear a rugby shirt, jumper or a collared shirt without a tie. I have and wear Navy Vet ball caps, but never with a kilt. I don't do scrunched socks or sandals and wouldn't be caught dead in a MUG.
