Cheaney Ghillie Brogue Size
Greetings,
I just received a pair of Cheaney Ghillie Brogues UK Size 10. They are wondefully made, but I noticed they were a tad wide
and were a size G which apparently is a wide in the UK?
Does Cheaney make an F size Ghillie brogue? When I ordered I wasn't given an opportunity to choose a width. Maybe because
They're worn with Kilt hose they only make them in a G?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, G is wide fitting. I wear an F fitting in shoes (Loake) from England, which is a medium to average width. I'm not sure if Cheaney makes an F size ghillie, but I know Loake does.
Cheers,

Dram,
It appears that their stock sizes in their version of the ghillie brogue is in the G fitting only, but if you ask them, perhaps they will be able to have a pair made up using an F fitting last. There may be a surcharge for this, I'm not sure. My recommendation would be to shoot an e-mail to them and simply ask. I have done this with certain shoes made by Loake that were only offered in their G fitting and it was no problem at all for the shoes to be made to my size specifications. Of course, I had to pay a wee bit extra, but all in all it wasn't too bad.
Here's Cheaney's customer service e-mail: info@cheaney.co.uk
Best of luck!
