I've made several kilts for a customer in Australia, and I've sent the kilts from the US via Priority Mail International. Shipping time was pretty decent. I never paid more than $65. Even though US postal rates just went up (as of Jan 27), the cost is still under $70 to Singapore, even for Express Mail International (I just checked on the USPS web site). So, at least from the US, postage isn't really a huge issue.
