I actually like this kilt, but I think I'd be in a lot of pain after the helicopter landed on my butt.

I know we like the idea of X Marks The Scot but I think this is over the top. However what a fine example of the art of kilt making. Really kilts should be hung out on display when not in use like kimonos and be admired for their beauty, quality and the inspiration that they give.

    Saltire

Is anybody else but me bothered by the fact that someone in this kilt is sitting "on" the saltire, the National Flag of Scotland? Call me crazy, but having someone's bum on top of your flag is a little disrespectful.

But, then again, even though we have a flag code here in the colonies, clothes manufactures place the US flag everywhere, including the bum...

I like the colours, though...see, I'm trying to be positive !

    Cheers! (b)

I dont find it disrespectful. I think it is a great kilt!

I saw one in Inverness and it was really a work of art.

How is that diffent than all those people wearing the US flag (or Maple Leaf up here) on boxer shorts? Rather a kilt than undies.

I for one think the kilt looks great, and would look awesome in swing. Imagine the pride at flying the Saltire as all people you pass turn to watch you walk away.

I disagree with that as well, Colin.

Although...I am growing on the saltire kilt...better a kilt than undies, as you said...

it is a nice kilt, seen it up close as blu was drooling on it saturday at the games.I think it may not be as hard to make as you think, just follow the lines, nice kilt ,but as an Englishman, can't see me wearin' one, now if I was a scot, it would be a MUST have.
