Certainly looks like you're ready. Nicely done.

Some of the parades here are on Friday to allow the school kids a chance to shine. Tomorrow the REAL festivities start in downtown Portland at the various pubs, etc. Then Sunday is the 35,000+ runner Shamrock Run in Portland where I shall cheer on my pals as they tackle a 15K. I don't like the large races and prefer smaller marathons, etc and I already have my miles in for the week. But I shall cheer them on with the kilt in place and possible Guinness in hand! ;-)

small parades, such as this appears, are really more fun. You just know that the participants are giving their all.

This year I spent all St Patrick's Day- over 14 hours including four gigs and lots of driving- in my Isle of Skye heavyweight kilt.

It's odd, some years I spend all day in trousers playing uilleann/Irish gigs only, some years I'm kilted all day.

And this year, as usually is the case, no alcohol at all! Due to all the driving I have to do.

Well done James you look sharp and it looks like you had a good time!

    James looking good IMHO.
We went up to Seattle for a football/soccer match vs Sounders, it was chilly and windy, kilt was lifted by accident a few times
    Cheers and all the best

Looking good James! As a Celtic musician, I often get called to play "Irish" music on St. Patrick's Day. I don't typically kilt for these engagements, but did find my ancient MacDonald tartan necktie appropriate. The ancient set changes the dark green and red into a kelly green and orange which seemed to suit the occasion nicely.
