    I too, thought about getting a doublet (though I opted for another kilt.)

    Good for you, Father. I chose a Sheriffmuir for the very reasons you stated & selected tweed to "dress down" a bit further. However, mine won't arrive until well after yours.

    My third kilt... will come in time, and John will have the contract when I have the $$, but I have two beauties now and am limited in wearing the oversized tent.

    Want to buy a size 52 Argyle?

    That's exactly what went through my mind, William. I did go with chrome buttons, but with a dark "background" effect in the ridges so that they look a bit "older."
