Tartan Day South Festival
XMarker, Mark Ellis and I are going to make 435 mile road trip to the Tartan Day South Festival in Columbia SC. The 20th Anniversary Reunion Concert of the four original members of Seven Nations gigged me for the trip.
Any other XMarkers attending?

They don't put our work schedule out that far in advance. Sounds like a wonderful time.

Depending on the wife's schedule, we both plan on making it there on Saturday. Must remember to wear my balmoral with my MacBubba badge and a dandelion for ease of identification. Unfortunately, we will miss the Friday night get together.

Excellent Bill!
I'll be sending in my registration for a Clan Tent; MacCallum Malcolm. As we get a little closer let's estabish a "Meet Up" time at the tent.

As we anticipated, my missus will be working on Saturday. So, I will likely be tasked with bringing her proper food from the event. Depending on the weather, I'll be in the local area shortly after kick-off and then back again to do some shopping for myself. Looking forward to meeting you!

Same here, Bill! I will not be convenig a Clan tent. I'll be readily found under a bonnet with dandelion on it! I'll definitely be at the entertainment stage when Rathkeltair is playing 10:15 AM & 1:35 PM.

Wish I could go, but work conflicts (maybe next year). I used to live in Columbia, and back then, Tartan Day was on a much smaller scale: a bit of demonstration dancing and local music acts and a couple of informational seminars at the state museum. Now it seems to be a full-blown, all-weekend highland games and music festival. If you see my association VP, Bob McLean, say hi--a really nice guy.

I hope to be there for the concert tonight, and plan to be there Saturday.
FYI we had a good rain on Thursday, so the ground may still be a bit soggy this evening. Saturday is forecast to be clear with a high of 70.
